I'm so excited to announce the launch of my new podcast, "The Pen's Sorcery!"
There was always a fiery being living within me being released into the light every time I came close to a pen or was entangled in a story. That fire must be the spirit of my passion. It feeds on epic tales as if they are infinitely more nourishing than food or water. The beast must have an entire four course meal when it demands it, which entails a well thought out world, an epic plot, wonderfully constructed characters, and for desert, the ability to vicariously experience adventures while learning alongside the main characters. If it shall not have what it requests, I am then left starved, fiddling with pen and paper to no avail.
I am very much what many would call an escapist, though not because I wish to escape life. On the contrary, stories taught me more about life and why we must face countless obstacles while we live. Many a time we ask ourselves why do certain things happen, but when watching another's life unfold through a bird-eye view, do we fully attain the scope and understand the reasons why. Perhaps in our own stories, we will not know why until we reach the conclusion...
Profound storytelling is an artistry. There are so many facets to a captivating story and all writers have their own way of obtaining that magic. Before being published, I remember growing frustrated while reading countless blogs and books to learn numerous rules on how to be the amazing author I always aspired to be. But the truth is, there are no rules. Every artist has their own process though they may work with the same medium. That is why I created this podcast, "The Pen's Sorcery", to not only find likeminded people who have the same fire beast lurking within, but to provide the foundation for those who were once in my place.
True, a potter must first learn the basics of how to work with clay before effectively bringing their vision into the physical world. Wetting your clay before molding it is not so much a rule to me as it is a mental principle that can assist the potter's process. In this analogy, it is my goal to help you wet your clay, so to speak.
Words are our medium and I will show you all the ways you can make them breathe life. In "The Pen's Sorcery", we will explore the enchanting world of storytelling and unleash the writing sorcerer within you.
